Realm of the Volga - A river becomes a sea
Henry was born in Berlin where he initially finished his degree in veterinary medicine. Today, he is a producer, director and cameraman. He became co-founder of ALTAYFILM, a small production company specialized in natural history documentaries, delivering to a number of German broadcasters, incl. NDR, MDR and WDR as well as ARTE, BBC, National Geographic and others. Henry is board member of the German Species Conservation Foundation.
In Russia, great things often develop in secret. This also applies to the country's most important river, the Volga. For centuries, the stream has been vital in the exploitation of the vast country and has shaped the evolution of the Russian nation. Partly defining itself through immense natural size and power, this river makes up a part of the “Russian Soul”.
