Coming from a society which is stricken with terrorism and crime...Traveling, witnessing and documenting the versatility gave a wide exposure and nourished my sense of aesthetics. Having a grip on mediums of art changed my perception of my native city and its rustic and barren beauty suddenly seemed appealing and pleasing and translation of the melancholic beauty of the city through Art and Film became meaningful.
Rawana is a Narrative Short Film which glances at the relation Man holds with Nature, Animals and Himself. The Film is inspired by the book “The Animal Farm” by George Orwell. Shot across Pakistan mainly Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, and Gilgit Baltistan.
