Plastic Forest Cleanup
Ágoston Kollányi is an award-winning nature filmmaker, director and script writer. He is the founder and director of Természetfilm.hu, co-founder and organiser of the Pet Cup and founder of the international educational program, Popular Science Video Workshop, that teaches scientific video abstract making. He's made more than a hundred documentaries, with which he's won many awards, including the Pál Rockenbauer Award, and awards at the International Nature Film Festival, Envirofilm and JWFF.
In 2017, Gergely Hankó, volunteer of the Plastic CUP initiative discovered a floodplain forest heavily polluted with plastic. He called the Plastic Pirates, who joined their forces with nature conservationists and the water management authorities. Together, they launched a massive cleanup project to restore the habitat. This is the story of a massive effort that lasted 3 years.
