Graduated in Communication sciences at Milan University in 2002, Rosario Simanella specializes in “Public, Social and Political Communication” at Bologna University in 2005. After a PhD in Film making at Bologna University, he starts to work as filmmaker and video editor and to collaborate with the biggest Italian television and commercial production companies. In 2011 he founded FUFILM, a documentary factory and he started to produce and direct documentaries.
The life of a group of women living in Nangi, a tiny village on the rugged mountain ranges of Nepal, the Magar Women. They produce income, decide for themselves, love nature. They have such a pronounced sense of community, that their village became a model of women emancipation. In a country where women's conditions are one of the worst in the world, the Nangi women fight with the strength of their smile. A film presenting these women in their everyday activities.
