Holding degrees in Biology and Filmmaking, Ágota is a camerawoman and film director. She worked as a freelancer for many years before co-founding Blue Frog Film & Media Ltd, an independent video production company based in Transylvania, Romania, specialized in the production of wildlife films, social documentaries and video content for televisions and businesses.
Romania is home to the largest brown bear population in Europe. Despite a continuous coexistence of bears and people in this country, nowadays this impressive large carnivore has a bad reputation among the locals because of frequent damages caused in livestock and in crops. Lots of information wavering between truth and myth circulate in the public discourse. Our mini-series was created on the initiative of a specialist researcher in order to better understand this charismatic predator.
